- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I DONT WANNA BE THE FOOLT H A T G E T S L E F T B E H I N D I N T H E D U S T_________________________________________________ So it seemed that just before and just after every single show, and set that Carson ended up singing gave her anticipation. the rush of the crowd and the rush of the excitement was just like a high to her. no one could ever take that feeling away from her. it was there, and for what she knew it was there to stay. she took the water bottle off of the snack table where there was all different types of foods and drink and she headed over to a couch that was practically the 'lobby' type thing in the middle of all the dressing rooms. it was the room that connected the round room's doors into one place. there were a few deep aqua sofas that held stray people, weather they be merch people, tech people, or maybe even managers or whatnot. carson didn't really care, the 'high' was just all through her.
she sat there for a few minutes just thinking. she was done for the night. they would go back to the tour bus lot and hang with some other bands and what not. she wasn't sure what the other guys were planning, she wished she had hazel here with her though. hazel was her terrier that everyone loved, but they weren't aloud pets on the but. but they did have a fish in there, just only special people know its really there. they named them Nemo and Alistar. wal-mart and target were practically their best friends while on the tour and they could stop places or had to go to a meet and greet and what not. carson loved this life, though she never let it get to her head. she was still carson carter and she always will be. her brother, Jonah, the youngest, came along with them for a few weeks of the tour. since he wanted to know what it was like. there were very few girls in all on this tour, but Jonah seemed pretty keen on just meeting bands and hanging out.
Carson just allowed her head to wonder off the whole time. she didn't care. no where to go, no where to be, well, not until later when a few of them were going out to eat which carson was really looking forward to. they haven't really eaten real food in ages, it was usually stuff like granola, and maybe a few begals or muffins and all that. sometimes when they would get friut baskets from fans, the baskets wouldbe gone in a matter of twenty minutes to an hour the way their band ate. and especially fruit and water.
her mind wandered to the wonderful things that they get from fans like food and all, and it made her hungry after the fact. she got up and walked over to the snack table, noticing that an awesome band that was a friend of her's was getting off stage after their set. she picked up a slice of watermelon and walked over to them "Hey, whats up, is it still as packed as it was an hour ago?" she asked teasingly as she took a big juicy bite out of her watermelon. watermelon was strangely carson's favorite thing to eat this week on tour, like last week it was strawberries and all that. this week watermelon and next week watch it be bananas or something. she could see perfectly well that the seats were still pretty full but there were a few bald seats here and there. she was actually giddy to go out and stand around the merch stand or maybe just talk to ben, who was like her best friend through out the other bands.
Regardless of Ben's sexual orientation, ben was seriously carson's favorite out of everyone else besides the people in her own bus. they always hung out, and would warn eachother what guys the other isn't aloud to have. at the moment, carson hasn't seen anyone yet, but she does have her eyes out. she never was easily attracted to looks, personality was more her game for some reason. like there are those girls that sit around and go. "woah, he's hot and he's mine!" or maybe something like "hot, awesome, gimmie gimmie gimmie!" really, carson was the absolute opposate of them. she usually ended up with the kind ones that cared about her. maybe looks play a little part in it but really she used most of ben's style designer eyes to tell her yes and no, hot and not. but sometimes she could sense it from the person's vibe.
once she saw ben get off stage she went over to hug him. "good job, mister, i could practically hear you from across the building!" she smiled she followede him to where ever he was headed. she gussed as long as that place wasn' t the dressing room, she was safe for now.

TWENTY YEARS, THREE FAMILIES, AND MORE [/color] than enough names of all the people he'd ever known, he was satisfied. almost. sure, music was his passion, the one thing he ever really gave any care about. it was his blanket, his comfort. it tore away all his thoughts, the pain, the memories. and he always gave it his all. the concentration, the voice, the notes, the chords. melodies, symphonies, alto, soprano. whatever it was, he tried with everything he was able to hold in that tiny bodies of his. the stage was the only place he could let some of his guard down. the only place he didn't fully act out the happy-go-lucky personality he had outside of it. ironic, yes. you would think it would have been the other way around, but benjamin was a bit of a complicated person. not that many people knew that. in his life, he was the star of the ongoing soap opera. or maybe that was just being a little drastic. maybe it wasn't exactly a soap opera, but it was definitely something that shouldn't have been as complicated as it was. sweat beads dripped down from his forehead as he walked off the stage, smile pressed across his face. grabbing a towel that was available, he rubbed it on his face before attempting to "towel dry" his hair. not that it was all that wet. his hair hadn't been exactly wet, just a little damp from the sweat he had created while on stage. yeah, the boy sweated like a pig. and that was without the constant lights on him. on stage, it had a tendency to be ten times worse. like, imagine an obese person after a ten minute run. or something like that. maybe a little less "offensive," but you get the point? yes? yes. you should at least. but anyway. he tried to ignore the fact that he always ended up looking like he went swimming after a show, but it did sometimes bother him. it made him feel a little bit more than gross. and he really couldn't imagine that many people found it that attractive either. ben was on a high as started heading toward the backstage area. it wasn't a high that was provided by any drug, and definitely not the pot he would smoke every (or every other) night. it was the type you'd get from after performing, after hearing the cheers and shouts and applause from fans. it was all a rush. an adrenaline rush, really. his head turned and looked out at the what he could see of the stage, of the fans still there. his smile only grew more. this was all he had ever wanted. he really couldn't ask for much more. he was becoming successful, he was making something of himself. really, that's all he wanted, besides a few extra spare things. not soon after he had left the stage, he felt arms slip around his body, and a familiar voice fill the air. naturally, he hugged her back. honestly, how could he not? " why thank you, ms. carter," he said, grin still on his face, " i was rather amazing, wasn't i?" his grin turned into a slight smirk. " you were pretty great yourself tonight, almost as good me," he teased, nudging her lightly in the side, before heading off to the table to grab a bottle of water. half of it was gone right after the first time the open bottle touched his lips. the water felt refreshing his worked out throat and calmed down the heated skin of his body. seeing how his friend had followed him, he turned a bit to face her, smirk on his lips. " so, ms. carson, how was your lonesome time without me?" he teased her again. it had always been his nature to be outgoing. his fake nature at least. inside of him was that shy, eight year old boy that had been taken away from his original mother. not that many people knew that. actually, no one did. he had never mentioned the fact that he had been taken away from his original mother and was now living with foster parents. and it was also like how he almost faced death more than one time in his life. and it was also like how no one really knew for sure if he was gay or not. sure, there were a few people he had told. but it wasn't one of those things, he talked about a lot. it shouldn't have mattered who he liked or wanted. but then again, he also assumed that most people just knew. 'cause really, have you not seen him? the boy pretty much screamed flamboyant homosexual. most of the time at least. one of his hands slipped through his dark locks as his wide, dark chocolate eyes looked around the place. there were so many familiar face, obviously, chatting, smiling, just everything. and he was glad that he was part of this life and not some other one. but they didn't linger anywhere too long before they found the girl again. the girl who had somehow become his "best friend" of sorts. not that he was really complaining. he enjoyed the company, the acknowledgment that people were there for him. and yeah, that's all he really needed. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I DONT WANNA BE THE FOOLT H A T G E T S L E F T B E H I N D I N T H E D U S T_________________________________________________
She smiled and laughed as she chatted with her friend on tour. "Just don't get too big headed, my friend. You were amazing, but just admit that im better," she giggled as she stuck another peice of watermelon in her mouth, finishing the cut peice. "Oh, you already know how my time without you was, so just answer it for yourself, because you like to be the smart alec," carson acoused ben, as they quickly split for a few moments. Carson wandered around, walking funnily as she drank her water sometimes swishing it around in her mouth from one cheek to the next. making them each blown up in their own turn. She was wierd, but she was proud of herself for being unique in her own way, and thats practically what she was, she was unique. she did everything her own way. she was always the leader and never the follower.
Eventually she found herself speaking to ben again. seriously, not this room off of the stage was getting crowded, there were several bands huddled around either just getting off of or about to get on stage. she started playing with the viteman water that she had in her hand now. swishing it around in her bottle. "Yo! Benjamin. so we meet again, and its barely been twenty minutes. would this have to be a new record?" she said as she crossed her arms across her chest. everyone on the tour seemede to really bond, and ben and carson were just bonding as best friends, they didn't hook up for obvious reasons. they were just the same old carson and ben. and even that, they've actually known eachother for a while before the tour. last year on the same tour it was much the same, they were 'best friends' and carson was actually happy to hear that ben's band had signed on with the tour again.
there were several bands that were on the year before and not again this year, also quite a few bands that are new to the tour. this was actually string of your fate's third year with this tour. and each time they always automatically said yes to going. when they first started on the tour they were practically brand new band, and honestly loved it more then anything. they all knew comming back another year if they got the chance would be awesome. and since then, they've gotten to know bands and are friends with alot of them. sometimes the guys hook up with the other girls, but carson doesn't. actually, she's a virgin, never gotten passed just making out. that only bothers her. but she's afraid of commitment, what can she say?
there was always some sort of entertainment on tour, and there was absolutely no way of denying that, so she usually made friends easily. carson would hang out with the guys and maybe shop with the girls if they had time, it all depended on what was happening that day. sometimes the bands would buy their own albums and listen to them for no reason at all. other times they just wanted a store to cell out of stock so they bought the last copy. they would always find some way to have fun no matter how that way might be.
