CAN'T GO FAR BUT YOU CAN ALWAYS DREAM

So Kaydence Elliad was not actually much of a mall shopper. In fact, she didn't even really like malls. Unless she was hanging out with friends, but that wasn't the case today. Most of the people she was friends with on the tour had other things to be doing at 11:00 on a Friday morning. Not Kaydence. She didn't have anything to do until about four hours before show time. Then she started getting all her stuff set up and getting ready to do hair and makeup for the lovely band of Notches in Bedposts. Gosh, they were some great guys. Kaydence smiled a little even thinking about them. They were fantastic. Not to mention the hottest band on tour, as far as Kaydence was concerned. Not that she wasn't a little biased...or even a lot biased, as the case may be..
She heaved a slight sigh as she wandered past a Spencers, slipping inside. It wasn't exactly her favorite store. Then again, Kaydence didn't really have a favorite store. Again, she didn't really like shopping, or malls. Still, it was better than just sitting around the grounds and doing absolutely nothing. At least here there was stuff to look at, and always the opportunity of meeting someone. Kaydence was all into meeting people. She absolutely loved people. People were her thing. She was good with them, she was good at talking to people. She was just a people-person.
She shook her head as she stared at a really ridiculous Elmo shirt, even though she knew if any of her friends had been with her they would have tried to tell her it looked like something she would wear. It wasn't anything close to something she would wear. She had to laugh a little at herself as she walked back out of the store. She was always imagining what her friends would say to her if they were with her. It didn't matter where she was, she could just picture people saying certain things to her, in the confines of her own pretty little head. It wasn't like voices or anything, it was just easy to imagine what her friends would do, to imagine out the different scenarios. She loved doing that.
Footsteps carried her down the mall. Eyes were naturally drawn to her because of the crazy orange hair. Kaydence didn't mind a bit. She actually rather liked the attention. Not that her hair was crazy so she could get attention. She liked it that way. But she certainly didn't mind the attention. For all she worked behind the scenes for the band, it wasn't like she disliked the spotlight. Eventually she found herself in the food court, and she glanced down at her stomach as it rumbled a little. The place was absolutely packed. Kaydence smiled a little, and stepped into the line for Panda Express. After ordering her orange chicken, she turned and cast around for an empty space.
It took her a while to find one, but there were two at the very end of a table in the far corner. Making her way over, she set her tray down on the table. The place was packed out. As far as Kaydence could tell, these looked like the only two spaces left in the food court. She smiled a little. So maybe she'd luck out and somebody would come sit down by her. That was always an exciting possibility, meeting new people, making new friends. Kaydence grinned a bit to herself before taking a bite of the chicken.
