Doctors 20. When other people puke FEARS 01. Heights - this boy has a ridiculous fear of heights. this might have something to do with nearly falling off a third story porch in a hotel once, on vacation. he lost his balance and nearly fell. he's hated heights ever since then, although that hasn't dampened his love of carnival rides... 02. Drugs - this isn't so much a fear as having someone he cares about become addicted to them. he's seen what drugs do to people and how they tear families apart, and he doesn't want it for any of his friends. 03. Letting Go - spencer has kind of a…well, not separation issue, but he’s terrified of losing the ones he cares about, because he’s lost so much already. STRENGTHS 01. Keeper of the Peace - spencer is really good at keeping the peace between people. it comes from hating arguments so much, but he tends to keep tension pretty low between the band mates. he steps in whenever things are escalating and seems to have a special gift for getting people to just sit back and chill out and look at the whole thing with some perspective. 02. Steady - spencer tends to be the one that all his friends go to when it feels like everything is crumbling. he isn’t prone to drama or panic, and he’s usually got some pretty good advice. again, that whole getting things in perspective thing tends to come in really handy. 03. Patience - this boy has the patience of Job. even when he was young, he could wait for something for hours, or days, or even months. this still rings true. he can sit and work on something, literally, for hours, even if he starts getting frustrated. 04. Loyalty - so I know everyone says this about their person, but with spencer, it rings true. some people say he’s clingy, which he probably has the tendency to be, but for the most part, it’s a strength. if he goes in, he’s in for the long haul, and he’ll always be there when you need him, even if you call him at 1 o’clock in the morning. WEAKNESSES 01. Shutting Down - when spencer is under lots of stress, or if he’s getting really mad or depressed or worried about something, he tends to just shut down. he’ll fall off into his own little world, and you practically have to take a sledge hammer to him to get him back into the real world again. 02. Obsessive Compulsive - spencer does have the tendency to be kind of obsessive compulsive. he likes every little thing to have its place and it drives him crazy to leave things just sitting around, so he’s always cleaning up the band bus, sometimes to the disgruntlement of his band mates, who then can’t find anything. 03. Heart on His Sleeve - yes, this is a weakness. spencer is almost too trusting, and he wears his heart on his sleeve. he constantly sets himself up to be hurt. it hasn’t killed him yet, though, and he hasn’t managed to change his ways. everyone always knows what he’s thinking. he’s a pretty transparent person. 04. Falling Too Easily - spencer falls for girls way too easily. he’s been played so many times people have lost count, and he’s had his heart broken just as many. GOALS 01. 02. SECRETS 01. Drugs - he doesn’t really like telling anyone about all the drugs that came and went through his house. not so much for reputation or anything as much as he just doesn’t like talking about it. at all. 02. Self-Destruction - spencer doesn’t tell anyone that he was into self destruction. he thinks he’s kept it pretty well, but baby boy’s a little naïve, considering you can see the scars all over his arms. he says he’s over it, but sometimes he still finds himself leaning toward the whole suicidal tendencies thing. PERSONALITY
sweetheart; overall, spencer james is a sweet heart. he tends to care too much for his own good. he loves pretty much anyone and everyone, and is the sort of person that wouldn’t hurt a fly. the boy is pretty much a gem. he’s the type of guy that is really sweet and tends to get walked on for it. he's the kind of guy who treats his girls like they're precious, and actually valuable, instead of like they're just a sex object. one of these days the poor boy will find a girl who actually wants something more than a one night stand, and she, well, along with music, will be his entire world.
niave; baby boy's just a bit naive. for all he's lived through, you'd think that he would have a slightly better grip on the world, but he doesn't. he still tends to have the impression that it's all candy canes and rainbows. he's still a virgin, but mostly because he wants it to be worth something (yes, he's a rather hopeless romantic). he also falls for any pretty girl who will give him a smile. he's extremely gullible, and lots of people take advantage of it. you'd also think by now that he would have learned to listen to his friends, who are always trying to steer him clear of the players, but he doesn't, which i suppose leads to our next trait.
independent && determined; spencer is quite the independent little boy. he hates to need anyone else, for fear they'll let him down, even though he loves to be needed by other people. yes, he's a bit of a contradictory person. however, he follows through with whatever he starts, and he won't stop until he completes it. although he tends to get frustrated easily, it's rare that you'll see that frustration get the best of him.
shy; spence tends to be really shy upon first meeting people. and in fact, he's quiet all the time. he has a funny train of thought when you get into his head. in fact, he'd be a really hilarious person if he ever said even half of what he's thinking out loud. he's always got little smart ass comments in his head, but he hardly ever uses them. he doesn't tend to have a lot to say. well, not much that he feels is worth saying, anyway. he's horribly awkward when meeting new people, and occasionally he'll even stutter, if it's a particularly gorgeous girl, usually. however, shy people usually have get stage fright, and spencer most definitely does not. he lives for the stage.
clingy control freak; so. baby boy tends to be a bit of a control freak. really, it's insecurity. he doesn't like things to start feeling out of control, and so he does whatever he can to remain in control of things. this maybe something he'll get over someday....then again, maybe not. who knows? PARENTS claire and ron james SIBLINGS none HOMETOWN Tampa Bay, Florida OTHER FIGURES None worth mentioning HISTORY
before the beginning well, of course, before spencer there were too people, claire edith and ronold james. claire and ron were not exactly model citizens. they had both caused their fair share of trouble, and, in fact, done their share of jail time. by the time they were twenty-five and twenty-six, they were both addicted to drugs and alcohol, hard core, and claire was working as a prostitute. in fact, that was how they met. ron was going to pay claire, and of course, the events that followed are, as they say, history. needless to say, ron liked her so much he kept coming back, to the point where they were seeing each other beyond just the money and sex deal. they soon involved partying together, and the money was no longer an issue with their oh so on fire love life. of course, things could not continue this way, and it wasn't six months later that claire was telling ron she was pregnant, and that she was sure the baby was his. trying to do the right thing, they got married, did counseling, the whole nine yards. they really wanted what was best for this kid, poor soul that it would be. of course, in that, they failed miserably.
toddler-hood neither claire nor ron were exactly stellar on the whole self control thing, and, while they stayed clean the first few months or so after their spencer was born, it wasn't long before they returned to old habits. both were whoring around, and they frequently left the baby over night with friends or whatever. spencer proved to be a very smart child. he talked at an early age, though he was slower to walk, and he had an over-all cheerful outlook on life. of course, he didn't know, at the time, that there was anything wrong with the life he was living. he took care of himself as best as he was able, and left his parents, who were usually in a drunken stupor by the time they made it back home, alone as much as he possibly could, unless he just completely needed their help. this is probably where he got his tenacity; he really kind of just had to do things on his own.
good old fashioned school days of course, spencer entered school when he was five, just like every other kid. he liked school a lot, unlike most children. he kept to himself most of the time, but a couple of the more outgoing kids befriended him and so he had his little circle of school buddies. of course, as he got older, his friends started inviting him over, and he saw a family dynamic within their homes that was completely different from his own. moms that cooked supper for their kids and spoke without slurring their words, fathers who came home and kissed their wives on the cheek instead of slapping them or screaming. of course, the little wheels started turning in his head, and it wasn't long before he had the situation more or less figured out. he wasn't his parents biggest fan after that, and he avoided them, and his house, really, as much as possible. it always stank of drugs and alcohol and who knows what else, anyway. his friends' homes were definitely much more pleasant.
dreaded high school high school was hard for spencer. he was a model student, but he had to work hard to do it. that was also the year his mom died. she over dosed on heroin. of course he was sad, but it wasn't like she had been around much anyway. his dad was almost completely unaffected. they had stayed together for spencer's sake anyway, and he had his own little mistress that was obviously more important than claire had been. he got into drumming right after his mom died. he found that it was not only something he loved, but that he was good at. without trying! sure, he was a good student, but he worked his ass off to be one. this was also where the self mutilation started. freshman year was a lot of firsts for spencer. his dad soon turned his wrath, the wrath that he had spent on claire, to his son. he verbally abused the boy, as well as slapping him around as much as he could, resulting in a few black eyes, lots of bruises, but mostly a bad mind. spencer turned to cutting himself, and things were rough for a good long while. that was also the year of his first cigarette. that was as rebellious as the boy could ever bring himself to be. he hated drugs and alcohol with a passion that burned like the sun. at the end of summer before sophomore year, spencer moved in with a good friend of his. things got a bit better then. he stopped cutting, he got over his addiction to cigarettes, and things were definitely looking up.
post high school of course, spencer graduated with pretty good marks. he wasn't top of the class or anything, but he was average. he had no idea what he was going to do after that though. he wandered around kind of aimlessly for a while, and then, rather by chance, ran into william in a music shop. they got to talking and wil told spencer about the band, and of course, spencer leaped at the opportunity. it wasn't what he had always imagined doing with his life, but he couldn't really understand why he hadn't thought of it before. it was a brilliant idea! he could do what he loved. and so he fell in with string of your fate. and the rest, as they say, is history. NAME Pixel AGE Fourteen EXPERIENCE Um. A lot. I don't even know how long I've been role playing for. OTHER CHARACTERS None THE MAGIC WORD -admin edit- ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE
YOU CAN FALL INTO ME my arms are wide open and will always be
Macy had been up since 6:30 that morning. She had always been up with the sun, and as a general rule, she went to bed with it, too. She could stay up late, she just generally didn't. And it wasn't as if she had met all that many friends since being in Utah, so she didn't exactly have any social events to keep her up past 9:30 or so. She had hung around most of the morning in her pajamas, since she really didn't have anything else to do, and had hopped in the shower right around 10, which was, of course, when Jason called her.
She glanced at her phone when she stepped out of the shower and saw the missed call. She quickly listened to the voice message, smiling a little bit at his use of her middle name. She tended to love it when people called her by her middle name. She wasn't entirely sure why, but she did. She supposed that it was just because she liked her middle name. It was a simple enough reason. She blinked a little owlishly when the voice message told her he was on his way over. Had she known about these plans or were they spur of the moment? If they had planned, how had she missed that memo?!
Gasping, she hurried into her room and threw on a shirt and a pair of jeans, along with a necklace that, she realized a little belatedly didn't match her shirt very well. Whatever. She glanced at her reflection in the bathroom mirror and made a face. She looked like a train wreck. She grabbed a hair tie and shoved her blond hair into a ponytail high on the back of her head without bothering to comb through it. Her natural corkscrew curls made it look particularly preppy. She jumped a bit as her phone buzzed at her, and she grabbed it off the bathroom counter. She stared at it for a moment. Ugh. She hated being caught unprepared.
Oh well. It was a good thing she didn't worry overly about her makeup. She grabbed her boots, her good ones, of course, and opened her door, darting down the drive way in her stocking feet, looking a little breathless. "Did I know about this?" she asked, standing on one foot to pull her boot on, blond hair cascading over her shoulder and down across her face as she bent over, looking at him from under thick blond eyebrows, laughing slightly as she struggled to keep her balance.
Macy was a funny one. She was extremely independent, about some things, and extremely sensitive. She was the sort of person who liked to hear about everyone's problems, but she didn't generally push for information unless she felt it was necessary, as in like, the person needed to talk about it. She was also pretty good at figuring out sensitive subjects and avoiding them like the plague until the other person was ready to talk about them. All in all, Macy was a pretty good friend to have around. Super stable and sweet and always thinking of other people. Of course, she had her moments of insecurity and times when she called on favors, or when she needed someone else, as opposed to them needing her. Nobody minded, though, usually. It was a price most were willing to pay.
"So where are we going, exactly?" she asked as she yanked her other boot on. She glanced at herself in the reflection from his car window. She looked like crap. She was sure there had to be something wrong, but she didn't have time to worry about it. Not that she was, anyway. It was Jason. The two of them were like, friends. She didn't feel a need to dress up for him than she did for any of her girlfriends. Macy was pretty chill, that way. She supposed it probably bothered some people, but since when did she care? Oh yeah, never.
