IT WAS A HOTEL PARTY THAT most of the band members were invited to. whether or not they chose to accept the invitation or not, well, that was their choice. for teddy brooks, that answer was a definite yes. the boy wasn't the type to say no to a party. it was another type of addiction that he had, one that he didn't really keep secret at all. there was another little addiction that he had, one that he kept secret. but that was just a different situation. this little addiction was to his little white friend: cocaine. he only snorted it though. smoking was too awkward, and injection just sounded wrong. that and he didn't really like needles all that much. but this little thing was something that he didn't really like people knowing. and not just because the substance was illegal. most of it was just because it was caused because of something that changed his life forever. thinking about it now, there were so many different things he could have done to save his friend. he could have tried to save him, not just stare at the gun as it aimed and shot his best friend. from that moment, his life had changed completely. he was no longer carefree; he kept a careful eye on everyone that he talked to, or just generally interacted with. some could say that he became bitter toward everyone. but that just might be an understatement.
teddy blinked his blue eyes shut, trying to shake the memory out of his head. he didn't need to think about that now. but either ways, after slipping into his tight red skinny jeans and starting to wear out smurf t-shirt, he found himself in the bathroom area of the tour bus. he pulled out a small silver container, opening it from the side. it was a horrible habit for him to have, yes, he knew that. it played in with the stereotypical troubled rock star frame. but he didn't care. not as he poured the white powder out of the little bag. not a lot, just a little bit, though. he had been doing this long enough to know a decent amount for one line. it was a good thing, sometimes. it caused less of a waste. a deep breath fell through his rosy pink lips as took one of the small cut up straw, placing one end of the lines he made a few seconds before hand. not even a minute later, the powder was gone from the metal panel and his head was tilted back. he sniffed a few times, enjoying the sudden rush flowing through his body. his mind was clear, almost, but he was good to go. staring at his reflection in the small mirror of the bus, he smiled at himself just a bit. tonight was going to be a good night that's all he had to say about it. his fingers hurried to close the case and push it back into his pocket. he couldn't afford to let anyone know about this. he didn't want anyone to know. hence why it was a secret.
long, pale fingers reached into his other pocket and pulled out an almost too small stick of eyeliner. from there, he finished getting his outfit together, placing a small line to his waterline and fixing his hair to get it into the right style. now, from there, her was officially good to go. smile on his lips, he exited the bathroom and slipped on his red and white checkered vans. his hands brushed his shirt and pants, straightening and dusting off any access powder off of them. teddy took a deep breath before exiting the bus without so much as a good bye to his band mates. though, they probably knew where he was off to anyway. his van-clad feet hit against the paved parking lot of the venue on his way to the hotel. the damp night air hit against his heated skin, causing a shiver to spiral down his spine. it was a good feeling though, and enjoyable one. it was good feeling over the humidity he felt in other cities. he'd much rather walk in this than that. and he was grateful it was decent to walk a ways to a hotel for a party. it he were some other people, he probably question himself about why he did this all the time. but he wasn't, and he didn't. instead, he just entered the hotel, telling the deskboy that he was meeting someone at their room. the boy didn't ask questions about it, which he was thankful for. he made it to the room without too many problems and once he entered into the room, a smile, a big one, flew to his lips.
the blue-haired boy closed the door behind him, letting the laughter and loud music fill his ears. this was his home, a safe haven. fucked up as it was, it was true. the skinny boy made his way through crowds of people. finally finding what he was looking for, he took one of the red solo cups that had just been filled with some mysterious combination of something and alcohol. but the burn falling down his throat was totally worth it. a smirk fell over his lips as he found some random girl that he'd never seen before. he discussed a few things with her, before they both parted ways. her to go find her friend, or boyfriend or something. he wasn't really sure what. he wasn't paying attention at that point. either way, he moved on, finding some new person. this time finding a drop dead gorgeous boy to flirt with. and that boy seemed interested him. the boy never complained about the teasing or the flirting. didn't complain about the completely "accidental" grab at his ass. though, teddy wasn't going to be completely easy. if anyone wanted to get at him, they had to work. he liked to play hard to get sometimes, depended on his mood. and tonight, tonight was one of those nights. but he soon separated from the boy, off to get himself a new drink.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, Kaycee rolled over on her side, too groggy to sit up and even care. she had no sense of time, no sense of direction and no sense of where the hell she was. Her chocolate brown eyes flickered open to stare at the ceiling of the tour bus, she turned her face slighty to the right where the clock was supposed to be, but of course nothing in this tour bus was where it was supposed to be, Kaycee let out a moan as she lifted herself up from the bed and stared down at the floor where the clock was turned over upside down and the cord unplugged, why the hell is the fucking clock unplugged and on the fucking floor? she yelled out to no one in particular. It didn't matter how hard she fussed or how angry she got they never listened and the bus was always a mess. no matter if she cleaned it (not that she would) it would be a complete disaster again by midnight tonight, there was no middle ground for the bus to be somewhat neat and organized. Kayce blinke dher eyes open and shut until she could see clearly and flung the covers off of her, last night was crazy, everyone had decided ot stay on the bus and have fun with just the band, and some of the crew, well, some crew members had ended up in the band member's beds and some of them were passed out on the floor and well Kaycee's hair was no longer pink, although she was sure it would be pink again by the end of the month, her hair had been dyed black, with little highlights on the bottom layer that were brown, she hadn't seen it this morning, and she was to drunk to remember what it was last night. it was partially the reason she was still in bed and it .. what? late afternoon or night for all she knew.
Thankfully though no one was laying half naked beside her, so that meant she hadn't made any mistakes, or so she thought. she surely hadn't slept with anyone though and that was just a blessing right then and there, she sighed as she stepped over clothes and clutter until she made it to the bathroom taking a full view of herself in the mirror, her hair was black, and damn if she didn't like it, in fact, she liked it a lot, so much she was even thinking about keeping it this way until she got tired of it, pink was cool and all, but maybe it was time for a change after all. she could even put pink stripes in it if she really wanted her pink back. she smiled at herself in the mirror, thankful that it turned out okay. who would have thought that someone drunk did her hair and it actually turn out okay.. she laughed a bitter laugh, before turning the shower on and turning the knob of the water to lukewarm.
Minutes later she was nice and clean, free from the smell of alcohol and drugs. Deciding on something kind of low key she slipped it on and did her make-up in a hurry, she had heard about this party at a hotel and she was interested in going. Regardless of the fact that she had gotten drunk last night, it was all good, she would make sure she felt okay before actually going.. the thought made her wonder about the time, she still hadn't gotten herself a glance at a clock, she wasn't very sure when it started but she did know for sure that it started sometime in the afternoon or night, you know you couldn't have a good time at a party until it was dark, so she was going to make her entrance at night.. Kaycee finished up in the bathroom and put her make-up bag away and walked out to the bedroom again, fluffing the pillow and making the bed and finding her phone in a pillow case that she had been sleeping upon, random places.. random sleeping arrangements, the thought made her augh out loud, hell what a night. she pressed the side buttons and the screen came to life showing her that it was just after eight P.M. thank god, that meant she had slepped her hangover off and that the party had started or about to start, she smiled as she finished up making the bed and slid her cell phone into the back pocket of her skinny jeans before walking out of the tour bus. Her band mates were probably already there or on the way there so she didn't worry about leaving a note telling them where she would be, it would be just another piece of trash she would have to pick up later anyhow.
Kaycee enjoyed the night / mid afternoon air that blew, it was fresh, clean, and then again, she hadn't been out of the house all day, so maybe it was even that. Finally she enetered the hotel, the air conditioning blowing at her face and making a chill run down her spine, she had just gotten used to the afternoon air, only to come into a cold hotel, and yes, she was very cold at the moment, it was one of those things you had to deal with when you didn't have enough meat on your bones to warm you. it sucked, but Kaycee was happy with her size. regardless, that wasn't the point. Kaycee walked up to the deskboy and told him that she wanted to see someone in a room he nodded his head and didn't ask questions on what room or anything, she shrugged her shoulders and walked on, taking the elevator up to the destined room.
She smiled as she entered, hearing the music and smelling the booze, ahh, this was lovely. she walked around greeting the people she knew and even the ones she didn't, after a while she found herself near the alcohol and grabbed herself a cup and poured herself a full cup instead of her usual half a cup rules, well tonight she might just let loose, looser than last night even... if that was possible. whatever, she was just here to have a good time, and by the look of things, thats exactly what everyone else wanted to achieve as well.

IN THE WHOLE NINETEEN YEARS OF his life, teddy had always been a bit too confused at some points, and then too naive at others. despite what his parents had once though about him, there was absolutely nothing special about him. he was just another rock in the pile, another seed planted into the earth. that's all he was. he didn't shine out as anything important. sure, he was in a band. that didn't really make him special, he still was the same old troublesome kid that he had been before his parents kicked him out. but then again, he did have his reasons for it. the memory of the gun going off, his friend dropping down to the ground, the red, red blood spilling from his chest, staining his clothes. everything changed for the worst since then. even his own parents knew that, but not many others did. but they didn't really care what he had been through, there was no excuse for is behavior, for the way he got started into the drug and party lifestyle. it didn't bother him too much though. instead, he did as his parents told and packed all his shit up and moved the fuck out of that house. how he managed up in a band, he wasn't exactly sure, but there were no complaints about it either. after all, he wasn't positive about how he felt about. so what he did do was just pretend that he was happy with it, excited, content, what the fuck ever. after all, it got him into parties like this, where there was an endless supply alcohol and entertainment.
grabbing a new cup from some random person, his blue eyes searched around the room, taking in the different faces around him. some of them, he couldn't really help but mentally laugh at them inside of his head. and he really did not feel bad about it all. teddy didn't show to many emotions at times, most of the time his face was straight. at the same time though, a smile or a laugh on that pale face of his wasn't rare. he just didn't feel that he should fake an emotion just because there were people around and he needed to appeal to them. it wasn't something he believed in. the boy wasn't going to change himself for anyone. maybe he was just a bit too stubborn to mold himself into what other people wanted him to be, but he wasn't going to cause himself to become a fake. that's the end of that story. and no one's going to change that. ever. try to all you might, and you'll never get through that think skull of his. many people have tried, but none have really succeed. every time, there was a rush of victory flooded through his veins. it was almost as good as a coke high, almost, but it would never be better as he made his way to the bathroom for another line.
finding his way back over to the other boy once again, he smirked. there was always something about a boy that sent a rush through him. adrenaline, excitement. whatever it was, he liked it. but that didn't mean he didn't get off with girls. no, he loved the ladies as well. well, he didn't really love anything. he liked them, enjoyed their company. but he wasn't the type to wake up next to someone in the morning. he was the type that took off after the one night stand, even if it was his own house, apartment, bunk, whatever. there was too much attachment if he woke up next to someone. that wasn't what he was going to do, that wasn't what he was aiming for. he just wanted a good time and nothing more. hence why you never saw a little boy or girl on the arm of teddy brooks. he enjoyed the single life, and as long as he was protected, he didn't need to stick around. even if part of him was still waiting for that one boy or girl to cling to him. to stick to him like glue and refuse to leave. he'd thinking about it on the occasion, but he wasn't sure what he would do. most likely freak the fuck out at them. push them away until they finally left. but he has yet to deal with that problem, so he wasn't going to worry about it until he really had to.
teddy and the boy danced for a bit, pressing bodies up tight together in the middle of the room with the other people dancing. the music pounding through his body, pulsing through his bed, while his body moved with the other. this was good. all good and fun, and exactly what he liked. though, the song soon came to an end, being replaced with a new one, and the two boys split apart. sure, it had been fun and all, but he didn't even feel remotely sad when he saw the other boy leave him. in fact, he just headed in the opposite direction, a small smirk dancing onto his lips. now, he was looking for his next subject, his next little toy for the evening. but who to choose from? now, teddy was picky about the people he messed around with. he didn't go with just anyone, they had to have a certain appeal to them. what this was, he wasn't sure, but right when he saw them, he just knew it. sometimes he was able to get it easy, other times it was harder. but either way it was good to know that he was able to get what he wanted. most of the time at least.
as he looked around the crowded room once again, he saw a familiar face, or sort of familiar. there was a distinct resemblance of it to a picture he had seen on a person he was talking to not too long ago. also a person he had also he had happened to threaten. she was a cute girl, not that he would come right out and admit it, but he would have to debate on whether or not he would keep that threat or not. depended on how she was. and he could possibly mean that in every possible way he could. another small smirk fell onto his lips as he lifted his red solo cup to his lips and took a drink of it, letting the liquid pour down throat. removing the cup from his lips, he headed in her direction. was he going to say anything? no, not really. why? because he was an ass, a jerk, and he also just liked to be annoying. or something like that. so instead of saying a word to the petite girl as he walked by her, all he did was simply bump into her, hitting his arm against her as he passed. though, he did look out of the corner of his eye, the small smirk on his lips as he did so.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, Kaycee hadn't been inside for more than a few minutes and already she was getting danced with and flirted with and whatever you called it these days, it made her smile, it wasn't too soon that she had downed her whole cup of ... what the fuck was that anyway? she didn't know and honestly didn't care, it was good. it tasted.. spiked too, if anything Kaycee was the one to go to about drinks, she knew what tasted like what and how something was supposed to taste, she had been around alcohol enough in her life to know the difference. this tasted like it was spiked with vodka, but she didn't pay any more attention to it because honestly, she didn't fucking care, and she wasn't going to sit there and analyze the fucking drink. it was good, she was going to drink it and possibly get drunk. that was that. no questions asked. she finished it off and handed it to some random person not really caring if they thought she was crazy, hell tonight, she was crazy. she wanted to get crazy at least, it had been a while since she had went 'all out' and tonight, well she was possibly going to do just that, and if not, she was going to have a good time, which by the looks of htings was guaranteed, and she was having fun, for having just walked in the door, hell yes. She smiled as she walked even further on the dancefloor dancing with a few girls but ended up dancing with a guy at the end of every song, with each passing minute she could feel the alcohol do what it was supposed to do.
No she wasn't drunk, not at this point, but she could feel it working in her system, she was already getting somewhat hot. alcohol always did that to a person, it made them hot, no matter the circumstances, especially with kaycee, but not distgusting hot, like hot as in you feel your blood rushing through your vains, you feel your body going under the influence, there really wasn't a way to explain it unless you have felt it before. before too long though the song that was playing ended as well and she walked off from the boy she was dancing with, maybe to find another partner, maybe just to get another drink, maybe to walk off.. just to walk off, hell she didn't fucking know. she was looking out into the crowd just scanning the people in the room when someone knocked into her arm, not even lightly either, if she wasn't standing firmly on the soles of her feet she would have easily been knocked down. Now Kaycee wasn't a really violent person, or she wasn't known for that, in fact she was a rather nice person, a person who didn't get in a lot of trouble with the law, someone who was a good citizen and didn't make a scene, but for some reason this just sent her off the edge, not even kidding. she flung herself in the persons direction, eyes wide and furious, and her small hands bunched into fists, only then did she realize who it was, not really realize but more... recognize, the face, and the blue hair, hell, she couldn't really forget that.
She immediately dropped her furious glare and unwound her fists, she had no idea why though, but her additude turned more sarcastic and sour rather than angry and bitchy, Kaycee placed her hands on her hips and singled her eyes in on him, and what the hell do you think you are doing? she said with a bitter tone, the name on the tip of her tongue but she couldn't just yet, not when he had simply just bumped into her and hadn't said anything, she would use that later, maybe, but only if he really pissed her off or said something smart. by this time they had gained themselves a couple of onlookers, usually she didn't like nosy people, but for this she wasn't going to bitch at them, only because it would only be more entertaining if she called him teddy in front of people, maybe the nickname would stick. and maybe she could bring his ego down a notch, make him squirm a little, ah that would be entertaining, because obviously by the IM that was chared between the two, he was cocky as shit and plainly... well he thought he was the shit. A smile spread across Kaycee's features, but quickly fading, if she wasn't just livid with him and turned sarcsatic she could have sworn she saw a smirk on his face.
Now if she remembered correctly also he had threatened her, a threat that was kind of serious.. not in the literal way as if he would get a chance to but she hadn't really thought that she would actually see him for him to actually try and carry out that promise. her expression turned cynical, would he remember? ha. probably so, guys never forgot anything they made good threats upon, even if it was over something as trivial as calling him a name, she wanted to roll her eyes, go figure. well, if he brought it up she would just have to challenge him, but the only question that plagued her mind at the moment was just how he was going to carry out this whole threat, what was he supposed to do? na, she doubted he would actually carry it out, he looked like someone who put out a lot of talk. he wouldn't do shit to her, and she would say that to his face if she had to, which she probably would. By this time most of their onlookers had walked away but she was sure by the time they had said a few more sarcsatic remarks they would be back, only to see him squirm, if only a little, she would just have ot make sure of it.

TEDDY BROOKS BASICALLY HAD TWO MODES, much like other men. his ranged from being an asshole, to being a "nice guy". the nice guy mode had only ever been seen before the age of thirteen. and when he felt that may or may not truly like another person. but he never stuck around with that person much after the realization of that. teddy didn't want to fall, didn't want to have his life become dependent on someone. even if it was just a little bit. he was an independent person, more so than he needed to be. but he couldn't trust anyone. that's what most of his problem was. his parents never gave him a reason why people should be trusted. they always turned against him, allowing his brothers to get by easily while he was the one always getting yelled at. they'd promise him the world and then take it back the moment he let his behavior faulted. no, it really wasn't far. his brothers were so much worse than himself, but they rarely got the attention. teddy was the youngest. they others got away more easily than he did. and since he was the "baby" of the family, he was always given more of a disadvantages with his parents making sure everything he did was perfect. teddy didn't want to live that way. he didn't want to live in a mold where people were supposed to be perfect. if the world wasn't so, then why did he have to act like he was? to pretend that the world was a happy, happy place? teddy found the true answer to that a long, long time ago.
maybe that was the reason to why he turned to this type of scene. why he turned to disobeying his parents more so than ever. but he didn't care all too much, if it all. he didn't want to be their precious baby boy, be the shining star his parents always wanted him to be. it was definitely something that he had always hated. and he showed him that. even if things turned out worse than they needed to be, he was still in that "numb" mode of his life. the way he had been for such a long time. and he really just didn't fucking care at all. he was himself, take it or leave it. he had his reasons for things. whether he explained himself or not, that was his choice. he didn't need people asking him a million and one questions about what happened, why he was this way. he didn't need people prying him to talk about what happened to him, how he was reacting to his friend's death. he heard the speeches way too many times from his family. "oh, we're sorry that your died, but you need to move on, ted." "we don't need our little teddy bear missing out on life." god, he hated them. they really only made things worse. unlike what he was trying to do, pretend it ever happened, his mother kept mentioning it. over and over and over and over again. and with the name, he cursed them to hell and back for it.
stopping near the girl, smirk still present on his lips, he turned himself to look at her. you could say that an amused expression fell over his face at the appearance of her. though, he would have to say that she didn't really look anorexic all that much. he's seen so much worse. maybe it was all the sugar the girl ingested. not that he was big on the whole health and weight thing. sugar just something that made his body hate him. there was always a horrible crash running though him afterward. it made him feel tired and miserable. so, needless to say, that he avoiding the substance. that, and he really need to gain the weight and need to buy a new wardrobe. but anyway. that's beyond the point. "well, i was walking," he stated, bluntly, "and now i'm standing. is that a problem, doll face?" one of his dark brown, almost black, eyebrows raised up, the one that wasn't covered by a mass of electric blue hair. sure, he may have purposely bumped into her. but it could have easily been an accident, with the amount of people in the room. but she didn't need to know he did it purposely, or the fact that she just happen to fall into little category of potential hook ups. though, that was just based on her looks. get him drunk enough, then maybe, just maybe he'd try to get with her. or try to make her get with him. either could work.
as he waited for her response, he was feeling the comedown of the last shoot up he did not that long ago. maybe it was about twenty minutes ago, but he felt it rushing down and out of his system. the energy he had felt not to long ago was fading out. even if his leg was bouncing impatiently. or shaking, or whatever you wanted to call it. also, while he waited, he downed the last of his drink, enjoying an all too familiar burn run along his throat. and yeah, maybe he was a bit off, but teddy just didn't give a fuck about what people thought about him. maybe in some foreign part in his mind he did. but whenever someone said something about him, he just shrugged it off like it was nothing. again, he wasn't going to pretend to be something just to make people happy, pleased. that would never be him. people needed to accept him for what he was. nothing the boy did was for attention. he didn't say shit for show. yeah, he gave threats he didn't really end up going. except for a few times. but most people never really tried to continue it on. part of teddy was aware the the girl was annoying, if he was to judge based on the instant messaging conversation they had, she would pursue him to proceed onto that threat. or modify it just a little bit. as his eyes looked up and down the girl, he decided it would be such a waste to hurt such a pretty little body. though, he wouldn't say the word. well, not completely at least. the boy never mentioned things about attraction toward other people. even if it was just based purely on looks. on the inside, the boy was a little flirt, complimenting their looks, calling them pet names. it was just the way he always worked. even if it did sometimes get him in trouble. opps.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, well kaycee was a complicated one, that was for sure, love wasn't something that she experienced often, one because her parents died when she was thirteen, on a good note yes, kaycee had told them she loved them before they left on a trip and all but still, she was only thirteen, and though it's not as tragic as some it still meant that she had no father or mother figure for when she was growing up, she lived with her grandmother who was blind as a bat and couldn't hear, that wasn't something that you could just ... cope with and learn everything from that, so apparently she was a bad child, sneaking out and whatnot, going to parties, so maybe so, she was a bad child, but that was only because the love of her parents well, she was left without that, she had no more love from her parents and it's not like her grandmother took their place, hell it wasn't even close. and just wasn't that same, she was old, she hadn't been there all the times that her mother had been, it just.. just wasn't the fucking same. So basically kaycee didn't know what to expect when she was out in this world as so many people call it, she didn't know that people were cruel and heartless and couldn't care about other people, she had no fucking idea what she had just stepped into.
This goes to say that Kaycee hadn't really had a lot of love in her life, from her legal guardians, to boys in general, hell she had only had sex three or four times in her existence, and that wasn't even love, and yes she knew that much. she didn't have a lot of boyfriends or friends that she talked to who would become boyfriends, and not really a whole lot of friends that cared about her enough to listen to her past or make her feel better or whatever the fuck you wanted to call it, kaycee didn't have it. And it wasn't that she was scared to fall, not at all, she was gullible enough to actually fall in love and for them to break her pretty little heart just as easily as saying hello, no that part was easy, it was just that, she hadn't found that person yet, no one wanted to talk to her that much to get to know her and possibly take her out, it was all meet at the club or meet at a party and screw her just because she was pretty or had a good body, or whatever it was they slept with her for. She has just never had the chance to fall in love, it was sad yes, but it was life and she had come to accept that.
and not that she wasn't happy with her life, not at all, she loved being on tour she loved being in a band, that didn't really make a difference, her life was as good as it was going to get right now, she enjoyed every minute out here, so no, she loved her life at the moment, it was just... loveless. Teddy turned toward her, a smirk still present on his lips, she wanted to smack it right off his face. no, i don't have a problem with you standing, teddy bear you just have to watch where your walking next time. she said nodding her head for emphasis, hands still on her hips. she felt like she was making a scene, but she knew in all honesty that she wasn't, he was the one who had bumped into her anyhow and she was pretty positive it wasn't just an accident, he could tell her it was all he wanted to but there was something about this guy who wanted to pick on her, pick at her, and be sarcastic and somewhat annoying, little did he know that she kind of enjoyed these encounters, it was just good fun and she knew he didn't mean any harm and neither did she. but of course she wouldn't speak that aloud and she wouldn't let up with her teasing, and he wouldn't with his. Kaycee sighed as she let her arms fall to her side slowly, changing her mind and bringing them to fold underneath her chest. Anyway, so yes, she had just used his 'pet name' as you could call it, and she was ever so anxious to see how he would react, cause it wasn't like he could do anything and she was betting on the fact that he might not do anything.
As stated before he was probably just all talk and no action, she dealt with those types of people here and there, they thought they were the shit and no one could bring them down a notch or tell them otherwise, well until they got embarrassed or something happened to make them feel otherwise. now she wasn't judging, he may and could do something, easily, in fact, but she wasn't sure what, she had only known him for.. well not very long and didn't really know him at all, she just knew that he was sarcastic and that he was a bit of an asshole, that was obvious though. as she was waiting for his response though she felt a smile grow at the corner of her lips, just waiting for something sarcastic he would say, she had plenty of ideas in her head, of how to come back just as sarcastically as he did or call him another pet name like he so specifically told her not to do, oh yes, she was definitely ready for whatever, almost anticipating it like she was enjoying it, Oh god help us all.
Kaycee then noticed how attractive he was, you know just sitting there staring at each other you couldn't help but notice the flaws and features of a person, and she couldn't help but notice, his face was small, petite almost but nice all in all, he had his septum pierced which went nice with his whole 'scene' look and whatnot, his hair was kind of long and it hung straight down to his shoulders, and the most obvious, it was blue, unique. she liked that. Kaycee had never been a short haired person anyway, she always loved longer hair on men/guys. not particularly this long, but it really worked for him, next thing she noticed was how tall her was. i mean he wasn't towering over her or anything like that, just.. taller than your average male, or the average male that she was around. His build wasn't amazingly strong, but she could tell that he was somewhat tone, not that it mattered, she never really looked for strong men anyway, all she needed was looks and personality and someone who could deal with her. but, that was beside the point, all in all he was rather attractive and someone that she might hit on if he were anyone but him. you know, she was even thinking of hitting on him here and now, but that would just ruin everything, the whole sarcastic mood, no, she wouldn't do that, she was enjoying this too much. if he wanted to make a move so be it, but she would not, and that was final, gawd, she needed a drink.

HOW TEDDY MANAGED TO GET THROUGH his life wasn't exactly an easy question. he might have been a bit of a pick-pocket for a while there. before the whole band getting signed or whatever came around. yeah, not exactly the best way to make his money, but it worked. it got him the money he needed while he more or less lived on the streets. it got him the drugs, and the occasional new outfit. for food and everything else, he just used his few friends for that. he didn't care if they wanted him to or not. there was really no choice for it. some nights he'd sleep on their couch. some nights he'd sneak money out of the secret hiding places. he was a theft, a criminal. sort of. and none of it really bothered him all too much. it was his life after all. he could do whatever the hell he wanted and not give a flying fuck about it. and that's how he did manage to live out his life. people's thoughts still didn't affect him all that much. not enough for it to actually do anything. and he roamed around the streets, not caring if dangerous or not. if something happened to him, he would take it as a blessing, a pay back for what had happened to his friend six years ago. no, the boy still wasn't over it. he had grown sour and bitter because of it. but there was no changing his attitude. maybe love could. but the boy never fell with someone. he didn't stick around to test it. honestly, the boy never even had an actual relationship. but that was okay. he didn't want one. he didn't want to feel any responsibilities. he didn't want the feeling of having to please just one person, staying with one person. it wasn't his style. or his anything. it wasn't what teddy was at all. he was a mess, reckless, and completely uncommitted. to be honest, he wasn't even all that committed to the band. sure, the music thing was all good. he actually earned his own money (though, it still didn't help him from slipping his fingers into the pockets and removing whatever it was in other people's jean just to get another fix.
he as an addict. and he didn't care. if it helped him forget the things he wanted to, then he was all for it. if it killed him, even better. he didn't want to be part of this life. but he wasn't going to rush off and take his own life. he didn't do that type of thing. he wasn't suicidal by means, nor did he ever plan on being so. when it was his time, he'd be off. god would choose his time and then one little thing would go wrong with him, and all teddy would forever see would be black. he doubted anyone would miss him anyway. he was an asshole to a majority of the population he had come to, just by pure impulse. but even when he was, he didn't feel one bit bad for it. ever. every single person was all alike, following one another and never taking a leading spot. all people were, were just toys, puppets, for god to play around with. it was a reality show without the re-shots, a documentary without the commentary, a soap opera without the excessive dramatics and bad acting. every single person in this room was just another toy for god, if he was even up there. teddy was neutral on the situation. parts of it did make sense, while other's didn't. 'cause while some of the things discussed completely contradicted each other. after all, weren't the one's that followed god thought that witchcraft was the devil's work? but wouldn't have god needed "magic" to create the world? to create man and all the other living things on this earth? it wasn't something he thought about often, but he always found it funny the way the "faithful" ones acted sometimes. the ones like his parents. always preaching so, so much about how good god was, that god loved everyone. if he recalls his mother's last words were "you're a disgrace in god's eyes." turns out he doesn't really love us all then, doesn't it?
it did take a lot to bring teddy down from his high horse. it wasn't really like he thought he was better than everyone else. he really didn't. there were so many people who had it better than him, who were better off than him. but he didn't take pity on himself. he was going to live out his life to the maximum. hate it all you want, he didn't care. there really wasn't anything that got to the boy. except when he heard the girl speak once again. and that fucking god damn nickname. his expression didn't fall much though. his eye might have twitched, wincing just a bit. but other than nothing else changed much. "i'd watch yourself, baby doll," he said, smirk still present on his lips, while his free hand reached up a bit, sliding a finger down the edge of her face. "wouldn't want such a pretty face getting hurt now, would we?" his finger rested under her chin, curled just a bit. his blue, blue eyes looked at the girl, studied her a bit, before he removed his contact on her. that hand soon reaching up to his own face and moving his eye matching hair out of his face. why he had ever chose blue hair to begin with, he didn't know. maybe it was to stick himself out from other people. for just because he was completely bored. he didn't know. but it was working for him, almost. even with the occasional person that would call him a smurf, sort of like that thing that just happened to be on his shirt. but really, maybe the whole blue thing was to just go against he "norm". the social one at least. he didn't like being driving down to made into every single person on the planet. in all honesty, there were now two people that were alike. so why did we all have to carry on with the pretending that every person was equal? well, when it came to rights it should be, but other than that. it didn't make sense. but then again, a lot of things in life didn't make sense.
maybe it was the sudden memor of his now deceased friend. but a weird sort of glint fell onto his eyes. and he knew right then that his high was completely over. "now, if you excuse me," he stated, a hand reaching into his pocket for the little silver container, twirling in his fingers for a second, "i have some business to attend to." that little smirk on his lips grew a bit more, as his fingers launched the thing flipping into the air for a moment before his hand grasped over the body heated metal. "don't miss me too much, doll," he spoke, sarcasm dripping in his voice. sure, he might not have had to exactly have to have another hit of the substance. he could be stubborn and say that. but if he was going to have to deal with the girl any longer, he might have needed the hit. otherwise, the girl would justh ave gotten on his nerves completely. though, that didn't really take much. even if there might have been something about the girl that he couldn't help but tease, be sarcastic with her. he didn't think about it. she was just an easy target and that was it. before he left, headed to the bathroom, the smirk fell from his lips and his eyes looked at the girl for a moment. it was nothing though, just a reminder of what to avoid for that night. though he highly doubted that. but either way, his best friend in hand, he turned his heels from the girl and headed into the direction of the bathroom.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, Kaycee had never been a really bad person, well she was told that multiple times, she never really smoked or done drugs and she had never gotten pregnant at a really youg age, she had never been a criminal and she had never stolen now this may not mean you were all in all a good person but she wasn't bad, other than her occasional sex partner and drinking and partying, but that necessarily still wasn't that bad. but she didn't believe it, not that she thought she was bad, but there were a whole lot more people out there who were better than her, in the sense of doing what was right and what was wrong, most of the time if she had the choice.. well she wasn't sure what she would choice, right or wrong that is, it would just depened on who she was with, you see Kaycee is rather gullible and easily influenced into doing something, no matter what it is, it's the only reaosn she wasn't still a virgin. she was talked right into it, not saying that she didn't ejnoy it though, that was quite on the contrary. it hadn't been all that long ago really, she had slept with the most people here on tour and the same went for them, she was talked right into it, not really having a say in the matter but yes because she was full of lust. but that was beside the point and she was getting off topic, she was a gullible girl, and whatever she saw her friends doing, whether that be right or wrong thats what she would be doing as well.
If she was in her right mind and not almost halfway drunk she would have seen the slight wince that he gave before speaking, she rolled her eyes slowly, but not like a little thirteen year old girl trying to prove her point, when her gaze fixed on his face again she felt his fingers brush up against her face, she heard the sharp intake of breath and recognized it as her own, she almost felt embarrassed, but of course she wouldn't let it show, it could have easily sounded like she didn't expect him to touch her like that and that she wasn't ready for it, or whatever, she didn't care how it sounded to him, Kaycee turned her head away from his touch, not admitting to herself that she hoenstly didn't want to, even though it really didn't make a difference his fingers still curled in a slight ball at her chin, I'm perfectly fine thanks. she said as he removed his hands from her face and flicked his bangs away from his eyes, and you wouldn't dare put any harm to this face. she said turning her face back to him and glaring just as hard as she could without showing how amused she truly was.
she noticed a slight change in his mannerisms and she wondered what he was up to, before too long though he spoke once again and she found herself glancing up to look him in the eye, don't worry love, i won't. she said eyeing the silver case that he tossed in the air and caught without so much as another moment passing by, if she was sober she would have recognized the case, not because she used the substance but because she had hung out with people who carried the same type of case, and she didn't doubt for one minute that what they carried and what he carried didn't differ. she let out a tiny gasp, not very sure if he heard and not caring if he did, she knew what he was up to. it wasn't like that meant anything, because if Kaycee didn't know something to be true she wouldn't say anything about it, and she didn't know what he was 'going to take care of' so of course she wouldn't say anything to anyone for that matter, and even if she did know what he was carrying or doing she probably wouldn't talk then, it wasn't cool to backstab, he wasn't a friend no, but still it was wrong in her eyes and she couldn't find herself doing that to him, regardless of what he had done to her and was going to do to her in the future.
before turning away and leaving though, he looked at her for a moment before turning away and heading toward the bathroom, she found it kind of odd, regardless, he was gone, and he didn't seem like he was going to follow up with her again, no matter, now was the time to go get a refill, replacing the smile on her face and greeting a few more strangers she headed back to the alcohol and grabbed a totally new cup filling it to the brim once again. she smiled down at her cup, ready for this one, she wasn't very sure it would last long either, tonight.. well she was already in the mood to get completely wasted but kind of nervous of what that would make her do, i guess if she was going to get wild and crazy though, tonight was the night to do it, and there really was no reason for her to be nervous whatsoever. Kaycee grabbed her cup with both hands and lifted it to her mouth, not stopping for air or anything and chugged the alcohol like it was a regular soft drink, only when it was half full did she stop. she giggled and the giggles turned into laughter as she brought the cup in her hand down to a comfortable spot below her chest, well, it wasn't everyday that you saw little Kaycee lauren paige chug alcohol like it wasn't a thing. With the cup still half full she danced her way to the middle of the dance floor and danced with a few males, a female here and there and onto another male, soon after she found her drink empty again, wow Kaycee, stepping out of your little sober shell are we?

TEDDY WOULDN'T CALL HIMSELF A BAD person. he'd just call himself a person. after all, there was nothing different from him that was different from other people. sure, he was into a hard, illegal drug. sure, he wasted his life away. sure, he stole from others. honestly, he was aware that everyone was that way. ever person had their own flaws and that's what made everyone their own creation. he didn't believe in wrong and right, good and bad. there was only the things that people saw. he didn't care if people called him bad. it wasn't like people out there were any better than he was. every person had something that made them "bad." no one was completely perfect, so picture perfect that they were golden children. no one was that way. but enough with his theories on life. he wasn't bound to debate it with anyone or anything. no, he didn't like people telling him that he was wrong and that the complete opposite of what he said. doesn't the expression "everyone is entitled to their own opinions" count anywhere? but then again, did it really matter?
he shook his head a bit as he walked away, shaking the girl's face out of his head. unimportance faces weren't anything that were to stick into his head. sure, if he saw them a majority of the time, they were bound to stick to him. sometimes it was unfortunately; sometimes it was a good thing. either way, he wasn't sure which was which. but to him, it was all the same. realizations came late to him, like most other things. but it didn't matter. nothing ever really mattered. the world was too much of a fucked up place to put too much thought into anything. that's how he saw it. he wasn't going to waste his time on something if it wasn't going to be important for him. that girl, kaycee or whatever the fuck her name was, she wasn't important. sure, fun to tease and what not, but not important. after tonight he was sure he wasn't going to have nothing to do with her until they happened to run into each other again. he doubted that would happen. but you could never know. life was just as unpredictable as it was cruel. it liked to torture all those in it. that's all that could be said about it. especially when it came to teddy's thoughts.
a very small smile formed onto his lips as he entered into the bathroom, locking the door behind him. sure, no one was really positive about the fact that teddy actually did coke. sure, there were the signs, but no one really had proof. and yeah, he did bring out the case in front of people on the occasion, but it was mostly just at parties, where he knew people would forget about it by the next day. so it didn't really mattered. even if it didn't really matter to him what people thought about him doing to drug. truthfully, he didn't want to deal with lectures about it. he heard enough backtalk from his mother about it. he really didn't need anymore.
placing the small case onto the counter, he took a quick look at his reflection. there was a small flush across his cheeks, from the alcohol no doubt. small bags were under his eyes as well. and he was okay with it. he wasn't wonder to obsess over his appearance. moving his eyes from the mirror down to the case, his long, pale fingers worked on opening it. a relief smile formed on his lips when it was opened. he took the small baggy and poured a bit into the the empty side. taking the razor, he divided it up into two lines. to small, white powder lines. he should probably quit, move on with his life. but he didn't think he could. so instead of doing just that, he took the small straw, leaning down and lining up the straw with the powder and his nostril. two snorts later, and his eyes were closed and he took a deep breath in. the adrenaline rushing through him again and his heart beat running far too quickly for his own good. but it was a good feeling for him. his mood perked up as he packed up the things quickly, shoving the case back into his pocket. after a knock came from the door, he made a move to flush the toilet, to make it seem like he was actually using it. though, the dilated pupils might give him away. oh well.
he unlocked the door and let himself out. letting whoever the next person was waiting for it in. his eyes didn't linger on the person's face. only a quick glance before moving on back into the main room. the music still pulsing through his veins alongside his blood. it was an amazing feeling. for him at least. his eyes scanned over the area again, for what might have been the millionth time that night. but he just shrugged it off as he made his way back over to the drinks, mixing himself something new. taking a sip out of it, his eyes looked out at the dancing bodies. almost bouncing his way over, almost, not completely but almost, he made his way into the crowd, finding himself some random girl to dance with. not that it really mattered who he danced with. but whatever. moving on. he was dancing with some girl and he was actually enjoying himself with it. well, as much as he would let himself. as much as the drugs and alcohol clouded his mind and he opened up more. this was the good life. the one that he wanted and enjoyed. soon though, he saw the girl once again, sipping on her drink and dancing. well, not really sipping. more so than that. and honestly, it amused him. maybe a bit too much.
soon, he find himself moving through the crowd. and soon enough, he found himself sneaking up behind the girl. well, not really sneaking up, but close enough. he took another sip of his drink, before one of his arms wrapped around her front and pulled her close to him. teddy leaned down a bit, moving so his lips were level with her ear. "watch yourself, little girl," he whispered into her ear, lips brushing against the shell lightly. "you don't want to get wasted too soon. a pretty little thing like you could get into trouble that way." he felt a smirk form on his lips as he said it. why he was even bothering with the girl, he didn't know. it didn't matter too much to him. in the morning everything would be back to normal. where she was just another piece, face, name, in his head that he wouldn't really remember too much. that's how it always with him. he was having his fun, and that's all that mattered. there were never any feelings, and there never would be.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, Kaycee had never gotten in the habit of doing drugs, regardless of how gullible she was and whatnot she had never found the need to, of course she had never really been offered drugs, but she wasn't so sure she would try it, what was the point? all she had heard about was this little high that went away in a couple of hours, where was the purpose in that? she couldn't figure it out and didn't understand why people got so addicted, well maybe why people got addicted but not why people started doing them in the first place, it was pointless. couldn't you just go do something else that made you feel good? it frustrated her to no end, but how was she to know unless she would try it, and of course she probably wouldn't. (she says that now, but little does she know that she would be talked right into it if she ever got the chance.) but instead of worry her pretty little head about it, she continued to dance and enjoy herself like everyone else here.
Her vision was starting to get a little fuzzy, but not enough to count all that much, just the edges of things were completely invisible to her, now was the time where she would meet someone and probably spend the evening with them, the thought kind of excited her and she knew now that the alcohol had entered her blood stream, Kaycee hardly got excited over stupid one night stands unless she was drunk, and apparently, her tolerance level had dissipated. well, it wasn't like it mattered, this was what she had come for, and it's what she was getting. she smiled and flirted with the people she was dancing with and some flirted back but Kaycee would just end up walking away and dancing with more people, mostly they were guys, but if she got too drunk she would most likely end up with a girl, it had only happened once and she was so wasted she really didn't remember what had happened, and for a little while there she questioned her sexuality. but she knew now that she was attracted to males, and when drunk and incoherent she wasn't very picky. shit happens, so what.
she was dancing with another stranger, female in fact, when she had the eerie feeling someone might be watching her, Kaycee's thoughts flickered to the blue haired boy's face before focusing on the girl in front of her, why should she be thinking of him right now? there was no point in it. he didn't mean anything to her, and he wouldn't. there was no use in wasting her time in thoughts about him. and as soon as she had gotten the thought in her head, she felt an arm wrapping itself around her front and bringing her close to a male, she started to dance in their hands before they started talking, Kaycee stopping as soon as she heard the familiar voice, she tensed for a moment as his lips were level with her ear and they brushed against it, she felt a shiver run down her spine, she was a little bit more drunk than she gave herself credit for, but she could still hold her own in a conversation, don't get her wrong.
thanks but I'm just fine thank you. she said as she still remained tense in his arms, not really sure whether to jerk away or stay there. and why does my well being concern you? she inquired, just a little curious as to why he had bothered with her again, and she was pretty sure of his answer, he didn't care, he was just trying to annoy her, tease her, get on her nerves, whatever it was. She couldn't help but think teasing him and bothering with him was getting quite amusing, he was fun to play around with, she was a stubborn little thing anyhow, and he well, he seemed pretty stubborn himself and when you put the two together, well it was just funny to see what he would say next and funny to think out her reactions so that he might not expect what was coming next, the element of surprise really. a tiny smile formed on her pink lips, she hated to admit it, and wouldn't admit it either, but she was without a doubt attracted to him.
Kaycee turned her head so that her face and his were just inches away, he was the one who wanted to be all seductive and sensual anyway, and what would you say if i told you that a pretty young little boy like yourself could get into a lot of trouble doing those drugs? she practically whispered the words on his face, she didn't know what he was doing so she wouldn't assume, but she would like to see his reaction when he knew that she wasn't as stupid as she looked, but then agian, he probably wouldn't care, only because it wasn't uncommon in places like these, and it wasn't like anyone cared, and no she didn't care honestly it was his choice what to do with his life and she wasn't going to tell him what was right or wrong. all of a sudden curiosity filled her brain, part of it was alcohol rushing, her ADD kicking in slightly, how does it feel to be high now teddy bear? she said still whispering inches away from his face.
He would probably get angry or something and walk away never to bother with her again, well that was one of her theories, or he could just laugh it off and tell her she was stupid, she didn't know, mainly cause she hadn't spent a lot of time with or near the guy, then because she had seen how he acted with her, he could do something completely and entirely different it was that whole element of surprise that we discussed earlier, everything about this kid kept her guessing, she had no idea what he was going to do next, and she couldn't say that she didn't like it, in fact, she didn't know what she liked at this moment, her feelings and her brain weren't really working together at the moment, in fact they were rather confused, her head was telling her one thing and the non drunk part of her was telling her another, what she would end up doing by the end of the night? she had no fucking clue, and the fact scared the shit out of her.

THERE WAS MORE THAN A FEW screws loose in the mind of teddy michael brooks. and he was perfectly fine with it. he didn't want to change, even if he had hated himself. now, it wasn't like he was in love with himself. no. he was content. one thing about teddy, was that he definitely wasn't full of himself. sure, he did seem like he was cocky and self centered. and he might have been. but that could have just been his whole "i don't give a fuck what you think" personality. he had gotten past the feeling of being self conscious around everyone. if there was one thing that he had learned so very, very well, it was definitely the fact that it was human nature to try to make yourself feel better. sure, there were people who went against that. or said they did. but in the end of the day, whatever they did was just simply for themselves. all the negative comments about oneself was a pathway into looking for compliments, even if they were fake. people were just looking for that little ego boost that would fade once their pretty little heads hit the pillow. this was how teddy viewed the situation at least. and he really wasn't the type to preach his views. they were all kept inside of that far from decent head of his. he didn't feel that he needed to explain anything to anyone. they didn't give a rat's ass anyway.
just like he didn't, really, at all. and all of it was just a reaction, one that had grown steadily over the past six years. maybe something deep down inside of him regretted it, hoped that he had become something other than what he was. but he couldn't take ti back now. he was in too deep to change himself. sure, if he worked hard enoug he could probably become a little bit better, but that was only if he had the motivation to do so. at this time, and place, he had none of that. he was feeling good, light and free. as much as he could at least. feeling adrenaline through his veins, rushing through him in every possible way, he felt amazing. this is what teddy loved the most. feeling the high, feeling with absolutely no cares in the world. no cares, no worries, no regrets. not that he had much of those anyway. but now, none of them existed at all. he could listen to thousands, on top of thousands, of different lectures from people and nothing would ever change his opinions about what he was doing with himself. his mother had tried that last year. tried her hardest to get him to stop before she just gave up. well, maybe she didn't exactly try her hardest. one solid hour after she found out, an hour of lecturing, and he was packing his shit and heading out that door. and to be quite honest, no matter who it was that was giving him the lecture, he wouldn't listen to it. about anything as well. he was stubborn, annoying and stubborn. and you really weren't going to get much success with him.
there was still a smirk on his lips as the girl spoke. he still didn't know why he was so prone to going to her. maybe because it was because it was amusing to tease her. either way, he was sure it would only be a one night thing. he'd move on with his life and pick up some other random person. that's just the way he worked. "maybe i don't like seeing innocent girls getting in trouble," he deadpanned. "it'd be a shame to see it go to waste." and the smirk was back. his hand, fingertips, brushed against the fabric of her shirt along her hip. sometimes, teddy, being both high and drunk (or just buzzed), could get just a little bit affectionate. just a little bit. but he wouldn't exactly call it affectionate. just touchy. he didn't cling, or attach himself to people. he just left touches, teases, along the skin. sometimes, it was just to see how they would react. other times, it would just be just completely random. his mind wouldn't be aware that he was doing it. his mind worked in weird ways, he could really go from one extreme to another. he could be sort of nice, and then go on to being the cold asshole most people knew him as. and there was really know reason for either emotion coming on when it did. he liked to sometimes believe that there was a random trigger going on in his head. but teddy also liked to believe in a lot of things what weren't really true.
"i'd say that i have no clue what you're talking about, doll, he whispered back to her. of course, he did know what. it was right there in his pocket, tucked away until he needed another hit. but for now, the substance wasn't there, and he didn't do it. even though those dilated eyes and sort of outgoing personality could give it away. it was one thing that teddy noticed when he was in a high. he was always more chatty. he teased a lot more than normal. he flirted a lot more. and generally, he just had a lot more energy than he would have compared to him. there were times though, where he did get too antsy, too energetic. "it's something you'd have to try if you really want to know." and it really was the truth. a high was always in it's own form with different people. some aspects stuck out more with other people and dulled with the rest. it was also like being drunk. there was the different types with them. and yeah, he did ignore the little nickname, even if his arm did tighten around her a little bit. it was just a little though, but it still might have been noticeable. looking out of corner of his eyes, he saw the girl, almost too close for his initial liking. but he wasn't complaining about it. well, not vocally at least. besides, he was having his fun for the night. and there was still time to continue on. the night was still young, after all. there was plenty of time for him to get bored with her and move on.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, Kaycee noticed the smirk on his lips, it made her smile, she had no idea why, she laughed when he said innocent girls, the thought crossed her mind.. how did he know that she was innocent, he didn't know her, she smiled befoer she spoke, "and what gives you the idea that im so innocent?" she said twisting her head to look up at him, she didn't answer the second part of his statement, but she did noticed his fingertips brush agianst the fabric of her shirt along her hips, she glanced down at his hand, not really sure what to do but just stand there, it had already happened before she could move away from his hand and if she had the choice she wasn't all that sure that she would have moved away from his hand in the first place. that was kinda bad. but then again, it didn't have to be. she didn't know what it was about this teddy character, but she just.. wanted to be around him, the thing was he wasn't really a lovely joy to be around, it confused her, her emotions were on a high, maybe it was the alcohol kicking in, the thought made her release the breath she hadn't known she's been holding in. regardless, it was here and now that counted and the fact that she was enjoying where she was.. well it wasn't all too great, but she didn't care, what harm could he bring to her? not too much, he didn't seem that bad of a person, and she was sure he wasn't... deep down. but she didn't know him and she didn't want to jump to conclusions. she would just have to see for herself what kind of person he really was, but then didn't that mean spending time with him. Kaycee sighed, sometimes, she confused even herself kids.
she rolled her eyes at his answer, smiling the whole time like an idiot.. "of course you would...doll" she said reiterating the pet name he had called her, thinking upon it now, he did cal her quite a few pet names, but she didn't feel special, she was sure he did that a lot, it was just interesting how he would call her them randomly, and kind of cute. but she woudn't admit that out loud. the way he said that it was something you would have to try to know made her wonder, would she really do it? answer.. probably yes, did she think she was.. no. but she wasn't the one to look like she was scared cause she didn't do it, she blinked a couple of times, coming back to her senses and smiling before she spoke, "now i thought you said you didn't know what i was talking about teddy bear." she said, a giggle escaping from her lips before she could stop it. she shook her head though, it really didn't matter to her whether he did it or not, it was his life not hers and she wasn't going to bitch at him for something he liked and or loved to do. Her face took on a serious look as she turned around in his arms, despite the little tightening of his arm around her, "no, im only kidding, but seriously.. i kinda... want to try it...maybe." she said looking down instead of at his face now that she was facing him. she had never let her guard down in front of him. she was kind of scared to, but it was a little late now to take it back, she wasn't sure how he would take it, not sure how he would treat her, but that didn't matter. what did matter was how she was all serious now and wasn't sarcastic, how would she get back to that safe place between teasing and sarcasticness? she sighed, no matter, it would end up happening anyway, he seemed like the kind of person who teased a lot anyhow. but again, that didn't matter, what did matter was the fact that she may or may not be about to get high, something she had never done before. and honestly really never intended to do before.
How interesting would it be if her first high was in front of him, a smile grew on her lips at the idea, he would probably make fun of her if she didn't do it right, or something else might be funny to him, hell, he might not even want her to get high with his stash, well if not that worked fine too, it wasn't like she needed it. another question flashed through her mind, it may have been a stupid one but for someone who had never done any of this stuff before it made sense, what if she got addicted on her first little try here? could you even do that? get addicted with only one time of getting high, she doubted it but she didn't know if it was actually possible, she kind of hoped not, that was the last thing she needed, an addiction to some sort of drug. she almost rolled her eyes. kaycee sighed and shrugged her shoulders, this time lifting her face and looking into his deep blue eyes, "but if not that's cool too, im sure i don't need it.." she said not really sure how to cover herself and make it sound.. well to be honest... not so nerdy. she sure felt like a nerd. but that was okay, she didn't care what he thought of her, whether it be innocent or not. a sudden rush went through her, would it be okay to do it while she was drunk.. or at least on her way to becoming drunk? she shook the thought out of her head, well he was doing it.. although he may not be as drunk as her.. whatever. she didn't care.
Kaycee didn't know whether it was the fact that she was drunk or maybe that she hadn't been this close to him. ever. but for some reason she just wanted to lean forward and be even closer to him, it sounded weird, she knew that.. but still. she didn't know that she was all against the fact of being with him. ugh, she shouldn't be even contemplating this right now. including the drugs, not even contemplating the fact that she might do them. ugh Kaycee... what have you got yourself into little girl?

MAYBE HIS LIFE SHOULD HAVE BEEN different. he would have done well in school. after graduation, he'd go off to some ivy league school and become a lawyer or something equally as ridiculous. he'd be pleasing his parents and making something out of himself. well, something good and positive. not with the reckless, "rock star" life he was living in now. and if teddy were to be completely honest (though, he usually is) about the subject, he never thought about what his life would have been like if he were any different. actually, he rather enjoyed the life he was living he. he didn't want that normal, suburban life. he didn't want a nice house with a white picket fence. even the thought of having a trophy wife and one or two kids waiting at home for him after some office job made him a little sick on the inside. teddy brooks wasn't the type of guy to go along with the society norms. all teddy wanted to do was live his own life. one where he made all the rules, where he didn't have to listen to anyone but himself.
life really wasn't like that though. and he had learned to accept that. still doesn't mean that he lives that way. no, teddy still didn't fall along the path of cookie cutter lives, and he really was happy with what he's done with his life. sure, he'd rather be some nameless, nobody on the street rather than touring around the world with fans. but hey, he was the one who chose this. sort of. maybe he'd quit and find something else to amuse himself with after another year. being in a band... this wasn't a permanent thing. only some temp gig he had for his amusement. if his band mates knew this or not... then... well, he really didn't give two shits. he wasn't here to please anyone after all. he was really just another one of those arrogant little bastards. the ones who only cared about themselves and no one else. but.. honestly. he didn't really care that much about himself either. his body was an experiment table for him. someday, he'd die from him. but he wasn't worried about that. when the time it came to that, then maybe he would. but for now... now he was content with doing whatever the fuck he wanted.
an eyebrow cocked up at her question, smirk still permanently stuck to his life. "you don't seem like the type of girl who runs around and cause trouble like it's your job," he said, like it was nothing. and it really wasn't. the girl looked too innocent to disobey anything mommy or daddy told her. but hey, that was her choice. if she chose to obey them, then what would he do about it? well, he wouldn't. why would he? she really didn't matter to him. though, it amused him a little bit. okay, mostly the fact that he was probably the exact boy her parents warned her about. one of them at least. and maybe not exact guy, but something close to it. he was the asshole, druggie, and the not the guy to bring home to the parents type of guy. he was aware of this. and he still didn't care. he never planned on getting that far with a girl. or boy. it was only hook ups and one night stands for teddy. commitment would never happen with him. and yes, he was positive about this. he didn't want to start falling into a normal, controlled life. he wanted his freedom. and if that meant dying a lone man, then hey, he'd do it. "wouldn't want daddy's little girl getting out of hand, now."
people sometimes questioned him. mostly about how come he was such an asshole. the truth about the whole thing was that he simply didn't care. it was his life after all. he didn't need anyone babying over him. he was a "big boy" and could take care of himself. what did it matter what he did? no one honestly, truly cared. that's how he viewed it at least. and no, he didn't need someone's preaching about how wonderful life is and now he just needed to open his eyes. some days, he just wanted to shout out that he had seen his best friend get shot for no reason, is that opening his eyes enough? he never does say anything though. just moves on with his life like nothing's changed. okay, maybe a lot had changed (maybe even everything), but he wouldn't admit it. he was too hard headed to get reality to sink in through his head. when it did though, he'd probably become a complete mess. whenever that day came, he just prayed that no one would be around.
her little request did confuse him just a little bit. his blue, blue eyes looked at her with a mild amusement shining through them. maybe even a little confusion rested in them as well. the girl didn't look like the type to get into drugs, any sort, but who was he to say that? when he had first started it, he didn't look like the role of an addict at all.. not saying that he did now. maybe he did, maybe he didn't. he really wasn't sure. and he still really didn't care (like with most other things, if you haven't noticed). but maybe seeing her high would be amusing, worth it. when she finally looked back up at him, teddy studied her face for a moment. naturally, he disregarded her last comment. after a moment, he leaned his head forward some, leveling his lips to her ear once again, breath teasing over the shell before he spoke again. "are you sure that's what you want, doll face?" he asked, quietly into her ear, a finger drawing small circles on the small of her back. truth was, he probably wouldn't let her back out of it. maybe he would. he hadn't fully decided yet. but hey, if she wanted to do it, then he wouldn't really stop her. it would supply him with some amusement after all.

Pick up your heart off of the floor, With good intentions at the door, Is she going to say yes, Is she going to say no, Kaycee thought a moment on his remark, it was true, she didn't seem like the type to cause trouble just because, she never had been a really bad person, she couldn't find it in her to be mean for no reason, to just start yelling at someone just because, to make trouble just because she could. the truth was, she coudn't do it, and the reason why, well she had the thought that her parents would be in heaven watching her and she didn't want to be a disappointment to her parents, even if she didn't believe in the whole 'there is a god' 'there isn't a god' thing. she knew deep down that there was a higher power and wherever her parents were now, and if they were watching ,well she just wouldn't know what to do if she knew they were watching their daughter misbehave like they told her exactly not to. it would break their hearts, and most likely hers too, to know that she had hurt her parents like that. No kaycee didn't think about them often, she found years ago that that was the easiest way to live, be simple and carefree and you wouldn't have to cry and feel that pain so often, it was just her way of dealing with things, and no it wasn't like she forgot them, she still knew they were there in her heart, it was just easier to forget sometimes and if they were alive and well today they would know that it was the easiest thing for her to do and would agree, they would want her to move on with her life and remember them on occasion, and she did just that.
she shook her head for his benefit before she spoke, Well i don't go around and cause trouble just because i can, if that's what you mean. she said matter of factly, she knew she looked all of her ninteen years of age here, she sure was acting like she fit in... of course you would have to catch the sarcasm in that, she couldn't help but explain herself to this stranger, she didn't know why either. But im not as innocent as i may seem the words escaped her lips before she could trap them, well i'll be damned if that didn't sound like she was hitting on him.. she was so dumb. kaycee kind of just stood there, thinking of how exactly one would take that, and then, she thought of how he wasn't like anyone she had ever met so of course he would take it differently, but then it came to mind.. why the fuck would it matter how he took it? she was a confused mess today. she wouldn't care how he took it, she was being herself today, the fact was obvious by the numerous amount of mistakes she had already made, this of course, being one of them. Kaycee didn't feel the sharp intake of breath at his words, but she sure heard it, she couldn't meet his eyes instead she stared at the dull carpet, she wouldn't blame him, how was he supposed to know? but she couldn't help being shocked, no one had talked to kaycee about her parents in a spiteful way, and it left her breathless at how mentioning them out loud and thinking about them were two totally different things, Kaycee cleared her throat in attempt to regain her composure, a-actually my father is dead... she said letting the tension rise for a moment before speaking again, well actually both my parents are dead.. she said in a somber tone, not caring to answer his unspoken questions, it wasn't like he would care anyhow.
Kaycee had been only thirteen years old, young and still discovering who she was in her life and what she wanted to do, the usual kinds of things a thirteen year old girl would do, but her parents wanted to go on another honeymoon trip and they left, the five days came and went and soon they were on their way home, but while kaycee was on the phone with her mother her dad had apparently not noticed the stop light up ahead, little kaycee heard the impact heard her mothers and fathers screams as the car blew into flames, he parents had been in a car accident, the car accident made the car blow up, she had head her parents burn to death. and it wasn't like she could have just hung up the phone... this was her last time talking to her parents... ever. besides she wouldn't have hung up on her mother in this case anyhow, i mean.. there really wasn't a specific reason why but it was just common knowledge, you just wouldn't hang up in general. From then on out she stayed with her grandmother down the street, not really being able to do anything besides stay at the house until she was older and was able to drive to parties and whatnot, and then this and that happened and here she is now on tour, that was pretty much the story of her parents dying, one she hadn't shared with anyone but her grandmother and a couple of friends back home, she hadn't dared tell anyone here, number one.. personal things. .well they were harder to talk about and then number two, most of these people didn't care about your past, they just wanted you to do your job. and that was something kaycee didn't mind agreeing to.
The boy looked down at her, his eyes staring back at her intensely, she saw amusement in his eyes, well of course she would have been rather amused at herself as well if she was in his shoes. after a moment of him reading her face or whatever the hell else he was doing he leaned forward, kaycee held her breath, she didn't know what was coming, or what to expect for that matter, but she felt herself breath again as she felt his breath at the shell of her ear again, a shiver ran down her spine much to her embarrassment. she was going to respond to him but she found that she couldn't form coherent thoughts much less words so instead of answering she simply nodded her head, feeling his finger drawing circles at the small of her back. damn, if he knew anything it was how to get someone worked up, and she wasn't even trying to get worked up. this wasn't going to happen, she hated being teased like this.. of course she wouldn't if it lead things somewhere else but that wasn't on her mind at all times.. neither did she want it to be.. but somehow.. it kept popping up.. much to her discomfort. Kaycee cleared her throat before looking him in the eye once more, im sure you know though that i have no idea what the hell im doing, so you're probably going to have to help. she said... maybe it was her being honest and admitting that she didn't know how, or maybe it was just an excuse for him to stay with her, she didn't want to honestly admit what she felt was thee truth.. even to herself. before too long Kaycee maneuvered outside of his grasp and found his hand with her own, she started making her way to the bathroom turning her head and nodding in the direction of the bathroom.
